SBU Africa is having a number of strategic pillars and is looking for a Food Safety Manager for a mission of 6 months.
ABOUT THE JOB
Ensure that Africa countries operate, by following the Danone Food Safety policy/standards, Compliance Policy (which implies potential stricter local regulations in some countries) and by anticipating emerging risks,
Ensure that the Food Safety governance is respected in all activities covered in Africa,
Provide feed-back to Food Safety Department through a better knowledge of Africa context and risks to help focusing on the right priorities, to get support, and to help defining the relevant standards,
Be accountable for Africa Food Safety processes and road-map implementation,
Ensure Food Safety & Analytical Performance trainings for all countries of the Africa.
Your main responsibilities:
Be the guardian of Food safety standards in Africa thanks to strong connections with the teams,
Support and guide the African CBU in the implementation of the Food Safety Processes in close collaboration with Food safety team,
Provide food safety expertise to plants/quality CBU to support them in the identification & risks management, and in the definition of mitigation plans (risk-based approach program),
Represent Africa in the Food Safety standards creation and provide feedback to central teams about African context, priorities...
Be the Food Safety single point of contact in any Food Safety related crisis involving Africa countries,
Animate the Food Safety Africa network addressing regular topic as alerts, emerging risks, monitoring plan results and also addressing the Danone FS priorities (Food fraud, Risk Based Approach, Allergen & HACCP procedure...),
Coordinate and organize, with the CBUs, the food safety Africa audit plan yearly and work closely with local team to improve the results,
Be or become a FSI qualified auditor and conduct several audits a year. Build and animate the African qualified auditor team across countries,
Collect Food Safety KPIs, consolidate the Africa reporting quarterly (with strong data & knowledge), and communicate it,
Organize training, and deploy tools and guidelines to develop food safety knowledge to business units and factories (incl. Co- manufactures, licenses, and sourcing)
Strong competencies, insight, and experience in the Quality/Food Safety area to ensure authority and credibility,
Political skills to interact with many stakeholders at different levels of the company and outside with 3rd parties,
Enrollment of key stakeholders (influence, not hierarchical),
Significant leadership to drive and lead the Food Safety requirements to be applied within the Company and covering the geographical diversity in the group,
Resilience and strength to impose actions when necessary and supportive attitude to help and facilitate gap filling.
