No day’s the same, but let us try to describe how we want you to roll:

Brand strategy:

  • Fear not. We don’t expect you to troll the internet all day. However, you passionately translate our brand strategy and campaigns into snappy written content.
  • You master the brand’s tone of voice and safeguard the correct usage of our plant-based lingo across channels.
  • You spot opportunities to turn consumers into brand groupies and generate new ideas to drive the conversation.
  • You engage with our consumers and fans as if they were your closest friends in an engaging, positive and witty way. You always wear a smile but add some seriousness when the matter requires it.

Content planning and community management:

  • Together with the International Brand Manager, you develop and roll out written content for international integrated campaigns on our global digital channels
  • You partner with our International Media and Digital team, making sure the content is platform native and thumb stopping.
  • You manage our global channels (Facebook, Instagram & Twitter) and give them all the TLC they deserve. You plan social content and ensure it reflects the brand’s tone of voice, adapted to each channel.
  • When we say tik, you say tok. You launch our TikTok community and share the latest platform trends with the team. Fear not, we don’t expect you to dance.

Trend watching & tool management:

  • You manage our digital CX tool and track social media platforms for all relevant mentions and conversations. You stay in close contact with the local community managers and you dispatch whatever mention needs to be treated locally.
  • You spot trends like no other with our social listening tool. You have an eye for opportunities related to our brand and the plant-based territory, ensuring that new moments for engaging with customers are realized.
  • You manage our online knowledge database that centralises online Q&A’s for 35+ local markets and ensure we step up our game in translating our tone of voice across local content.

Stakeholder management:

  • You ensure effective implementation of our online tone of voice and conversation across our markets, campaigns and platforms.
  • You work in close collaboration with local digital brand managers and community managers.
  • You spar with local stakeholders to gather insights and relevant information for the build-up of online content.
  • You advise local teams in the domain of the brand’s tone of voice and do’s and don’ts when it comes to growing the community
  • You collaborate with the divisional marketing teams (International Brand Managers, Products Managers, etc.).

About you

In this role, you will join our kick ass Global Brand team as the go-to person that builds, grows and manages Alpro’s online communities of plant-based aficionados. You are based at Alpro HQ in Ghent or work remotely if you are not Belgian-based and will report into the Global Head of Brand.

 

In order for you to become part of our team and to nail the role, we believe…

 

  • You speak and write English (C2 Level) as if it were your native language and hold a master’s degree in Communication or Journalism (or equivalent through experience). Knowledge of Dutch and/or French are a plus
  • You’re able to spell supercalifragilisticexpialidocious out loud in no time – kidding!
  • You have at least 4 years of experience as a Community Manager in a similar role or alternatively a background in social media ideally from a similar industry.
  • You have a cutting-edge interest in social media and be abreast with its fast-changing nature.
  • You have strong interpersonal and authentic influencing skills.
  • You’re a strong communicator and an engaging collaborator.
