  • We have an opening for a Maintenance Technician based in DuBois, PA! This role plans and schedules Maintenance Electronic Work Orders on a daily basis and meets the objectives of the plant regarding timely Repair/Installation and Maintenance of Plant Equipment. Conducts required Predictive Maintenance activities on a routine schedule to prevent unplanned breakdowns. This is a complex, fast paced production setting.


  • You will observe the daily manufacturing process and communicate and/or implement improvements to the operation
  • You will follow Danone North America's guidelines for Good Manufacturing Practices when performing the requirements of Maintenance Technician
  • You will install, examine, inspect, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures PLC & PID controllers and pipe, and electrical systems
  • You will troubleshoot any mechanical or electrical problems using PLC, ladder diagrams, schematics, PID and or CMMS
  • You will cycle equipment or system to ensure safe and correct operation, to be able to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • You will set up and safely operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill press and milling machine to repair or fabricate parts as needed
  • You will maintain maintenance area in a clean and orderly fashion; keep work area clean at all times.
  • You will operate a forklift and other heavy machinery whenever it is applicable
  • You will generate Preventive, Predictive and Corrective work orders from Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Closes wok orders in Maintenance Management System (CMMS) when tasks are completed. Adjusts work orders in relation to priority and effectively communicates the changes to the Maintenance Supervisor. Assist if necessary in preparation of the weekly maintenance work schedule in conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisor and Operations
  • You will provide insight on the scope of all corrective work orders and orders parts and materials to ensure the job is completed in a timely manner
  • You will assists the Maintenance Supervisor & peers with accomplishing the tasks at hand in a timely manner
  • You will work with Operations, and Maintenance Supervisor to identify areas of opportunity to schedule work during periods of downtime
  • You will participates in weekly, bi-weekly and monthly Predictive Maintenance functions such as vibration analysis, Infrared Scans & oil analysis to prevent unplanned breakdowns
  • You will prepare reports for Maintenance Supervisor as necessary for compliance and budgetary requirements
  • You will work with the Maintenance Supervisor to assist, and maintain, the maintenance department budget
  • You will support the plant's efforts of DAMAWAY (Danone's system of continuous improvements)
  • You will assist with maintenance activities as needed but not limited to PM's and repairs

About you



  •  You have a High school diploma or equivalent
  •  You have the Electrical/Mechanical background necessary
  •  Apprenticeship program or technical background preferred
  • You have above average computer skills including MS Word & MS Excel
  • You have 3-5 years of experience with computerized CMMS work order system preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•  You are multi-craft/multi-skilled with expertise in electrical, electrical controls, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics and fabrication
• You have working and practical knowledge of plant utility systems, (including boiler systems, compressed air systems, water filtration, waste water treatment) R134A Refrigeration systems is a plus
• You have at least a basic knowledge of minor estimating, scheduling, planning, and budgeting
• You have a working knowledge of PLC's, VFD's, Servo's and plant automation systems
• You have a working knowledge of National, State, Local building codes, OSHA and standard industry safety rules/regulations
• You have previous experience with industrial controls using Allen Bradley control platforms, Motor Controls (Servo and VFD) a definite plus
• You have the ability to work various shifts

Language Skills

•  You have the ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, mechanical and electrical drawings, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to fill out routine reports, correspondence documents and to speak effectively when conveying information to other employees. Should have good oral/written communication skills and possess tact.

Computer Skills
• You have a working knowledge of computer system input, retrieval and use or the ability to learn in a reasonable training period.
• You have experirence in software including: Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project

Mathematical Skills

• You have the ability to add, subtract, multiply all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions and decimals.
•  You have the ability to compute rate, ratio, percentages and generate and interpret bar graphs.
•  You have the ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
•  You have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,
proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
