Danone Balclutha factory is looking for a Nature Manager! In this role, you will be accountable for driving the Nature roadmap for our site(s) and a key contributor towards our ambitious goal of achieving carbon neutrality at our ANZ operations. This is a strategic position where you are expected to be the driving force behind a Nature-conscious culture across the factory, moving beyond metrics reporting.

This is a permanent full-time position, working Mon-Fri between 8am and 4.3pm with flexible working options.

You will:

  • Lead the Nature roadmap for the factory with support of key stakeholders and regional/global teams
  • Develop an efficient energy management plan to reduce carbon footprint to meet the global targets
  • Be responsible for all environmental compliance and audits related to the same
  • Manage all systems on-site to ensure compliance with Otago Regional Council (ORC) Permit
  • Engage relevant stakeholders across the sites with the Nature roadmap and projects

About you

In addition to a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or Chemical Engineering, ideally you will also have:

  • Demonstrated experience in Environmental Engineering from a comparable industry to Manufacturing/FMCG/Agriculture
  • A strategic mindset towards environmental sustainability
  • Strong background in communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to work well cross-functionally and influence without authority
  • Good presentation and project management skills
