Are you ready to join a dynamic and welcoming team at the Danone plant, where people, plus product and brand quality, come first?

 

In this position, you will report to the plant’s HR manager and be called upon to understand, support and influence various stakeholders, including unionized employees, plant managers and union members.

This position is based at the Boucherville plant.

Mission: Your main responsibility will be to make relevant recommendations taking into account labour laws, case law and the company’s collective agreement, and to support the plant’s unionized employees and their managers.

 

More specifically, you will:

  • Help implement improvements to labour relations processes and practices
  • Take part in the development of preventive strategies for harmonious workplace relations
  • Liaise with the union and sit on the workplace relations committee as the HR representative
  • Handle grievances
  • Participate in employee management (recruitment for unionized plant and head office positions, talent pipeline)
  • Advise managers on workplace relations and related matters
  • Provide guidance and make recommendations on a case­‑by‑case basis in all types of situations: administrative, corrective and disciplinary measures, absenteeism, illness, safety, various investigations, etc.

About you

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Mandatory experience in workplace relations
  • Familiarity with federal and provincial labour laws
  • Experience advising and influencing managers
  • Proven ability to connect with people and build relationships of trust
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and play an active role in multiple simultaneous projects with tight deadlines
