At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams.   We are looking for a Process Excellence and Optimization Manager in our Dubois, Pennsylvania manufacturing plant.  In this role, you will lead the continuous improvement program for the site, own driving internal performance improvement of processes within the plant, and will be responsible for optimizing food processing systems and materials from receipt to ending finished good production, tracking, reporting and delivering the plant objectives related to process performance, waste reduction and loss elimination.  You will be responsible for driving a culture of continuous improvement and driving operational excellence to all areas of the site.  This includes defining the Continuous Improvement and Loss Elimination strategy for the site in execution of Danone’s TPM program (DaMaWay), coaching site leaders in execution of the programs, and being a hands-on servant leader to enable change management in the plant. The Process Excellence and Optimization Manager must be a change catalyst with strong communication and time management skills and an ability to quickly flow between strategic thinking and tactical coaching and execution.


  1. Lead process optimization and loss reduction activities within assigned plant. Guide team on how to navigate organization processes to get work done; ensure team members get support required to be successful; build trust and accountability to shared results and sense of team; insist on best effort; motivate by appreciation.
  2. Analyzes key performance metrics including cycle times, yields, waste, reliability, and cost to drive action and change through continuous improvement.
  3. Supports and at times leads problem-solving efforts to improve safety, quality, and eliminate waste/cost at the local level
  4. Acts as an internal partner for the site to lead, define, develop, and coach continuous improvement activities to drive improvement in all result areas and KPI’s
  5. Is a partner, coach, and mentor to site pillar leaders and teams in EHS, Quality, Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Organization, and Education & Training
  6. Identifies key opportunities for process improvement and partners with process owners to lead activities to deliver sustainable and repeatable change and improve business results
  7. Support Neptune/CIP Optimization Activities to deliver effective and efficient cleaning within the facility


About you


  • You have a four -year degree or related operations / process improvement experience, required. 
  • You have a minimum of 5 years experience working in manufacturing or other related industry in operations or continuous improvement, required.  Prior dairy/plant-based beverage or yogurt experience is strongly preferred.
  • Lean, TPM, or Six Sigma certification a plus
  • You have knowledge of CI / Lean /TPM tools, required.  TPM experience and knowledge and practical application of AM, PM, FI, Education & Training systems and tools, strongly preferred.  
  • You have experience leading problem solving, and process improvement efforts required
  • You have knowledge of principles and methods for process improvement
  • You have knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
