We have an opening for a Procurement Buyer/Inventory Control  based in Bridgeton, New Jersey!  The buyer is Responsible for the procurement and management of materials that support the production schedule, ensuring compliance with Kosher & Organic standards.  Candidate would also coordinate the movement of raw ingredients and packaging between the plant and 3PL as needed by planning, processing and/or production lines.


  • Maintain inventory at target levels for all Finished goods SKUs, through appropriate production planning and inventory balancing across the network
  • Monitor existing/near-in FG shortages, identify root causes, develop/implement corrective actions and communicate such to management
  • Monitor “aged” inventories
  • Receive production into SAP and ensure outbound orders are posted within guidelines
  • Ensure material availability dates are updated and accurate
  • Perform other inventory management transactions as needed (e.g., scrap) 
  • Issue purchase orders for all raw materials and packaging; work with Vendors, through the Tradeshift and Probuyer platforms, to manage on-time delivery and issues that occur
  • Manage min/max inventory level based on requirements, shelf life & storage constraints
  • Coordinate with Scheduler and Vendors any last-minute inventory issues that could affect material flow and storage capacity
  • Ensure all material transactions in SAP are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies with corporate A/P.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, and related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have SAP and Excel proficiency.
