ABOUT THE JOB:

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams.  We have an opening for a Production (Shift) Supervisor in our Gables Business Unit, in our Dallas, Texas manufacturing facility.   In this role, you will provide safety and servant-based leadership to achieve breakthrough business results, specifically owning Safety, Quality, System Performance, and CILs for the shift.   In this role, you will own ensuring the development of the operating teams’ technical capability. This position provides daily direction and coaching to the OPEX and Trainer to deliver breakthrough results and is ultimately accountable for the results of the line/system. You will be responsible for building capability in Operating Teams and Equipment Owners to deliver overall line results supporting the CBN.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Owns Human and Food Safety for the line/system and the plan to improve
  • System Owner (CEO for the line/system)
  • Single point of ownership for the delivery of the glidepath for the line/system
  • Facilitates development of the Line Master/90-Day Plans to address losses and build capability
  • Owns delivery of the line targeted results
  • Owns DDS process including:
  • Leading daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly – includes Recognition of team members
  • Development and execution of Plan for the Day – includes development and handoff of plan for 2nd and 3rd shifts
  • Health of CIL system
  • Implementation and evolution of Planned Stops
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching to team member
  • Builds capability in operators to identify, measure and drive out losses on their equipment
  • Owns support of the developmental plan for the Line Team
  • Owns staffing concerns for all shifts and production schedule to execute results
  • Owns identifying training gaps for the operators/technicians on the system as well as developing and ensuring execution of training plan to address these gaps
  • Acts as the CIL owner to drive the CIL management system for the line
  • Facilitates communication of the plan to the teams

About you

ABOUT YOU:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Food Science or related field with  five to 10 years related experience and/or training preferred.  Equivalent work experience and training will be considered in lieu of a degree.  A High School Diploma or GED is required. 
  • You have experience leading teams in a high paced consumer packaging manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • You have planning, scheduling and project management experience preferred. 
  • You have strategic ability to create, design, and implement improvements to current procedures.
  • You are able to think quickly on your feet, especially in emergency situations.
  • You have a solid understanding of safety rules, plant rules, GMP, and code of ethics and follow them strictly at all time.
  • You are able to add and complete work of other production supervisors as needed.
