As a Gut Health & Digestive Physiology Scientist, your role will be to:

 

  • Coordinate projects in link with in vitro digestive model expertise (tiny-TIMsg, internal in vitro models of upper digestion...) to deliver results & science for our business
  • Provide scientific inputs and drive the expertise in the field of Gut Health & Digestive Physiology
  • Identify and further develop innovative models/methods/approaches on the specific topics of digestion as well as probiotic survival and mode of action
  • Lead in monitoring competitor activities and new science trends on gut health & Digestive Physiology and analyze the consequence or opportunities for our strategy

 

Within this role, you will have close relationships with a lot of internal expertise (e.g. data science, statistic, nutrition, microbiology, scientific valorization...) as well as stakeholders within the company (e.g. Danone brands teams, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs...) and outside the organization.

Travels required

Limited travelling is expected.

About you

  • PhD, or equivalent, in the field of gut health & digestive physiology, with qualifications and extensive experience on in vitro models mimicking GI tract conditions (e.g. TIM-1...).
  • Newly graduated or with a first successful experience
  • Your intellectual agility to manage several subjects at the same time
  • Proven networking ability, with excellent communication skills to adapt the levels of information to a large audience (scientists, project team, marketing, top management...).
  • Team spirit
  • Proficient English to succeed in your exchanges with the different countries that will call to your expertise

About us

Within the Danone Research Center based in Paris Saclay, we are looking for a Gut Health & Digestive Physiology Scientist to join the Gut Health & Microbiota team. In this role, you will be globally responsible for developing new models & methods to highlight mode of action as well as probiotic survival along the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. In the same way, you will be in charge to demonstrate the nutritional profile & superiority of different food matrixes (amino acid bioaccessibility....).
