Senior Quality & Food Safety Manager 

 

Our QFS team is End to End responsible that effective Quality and Food Safety (QFS) standards are in place and maintained to ensure excellence in execution throughout our value chain. We safeguard & monitor the quality, safety and integrity of the products of the Netherlands business unit and provide support and advice. By leveraging consumer voice feedback, we proactively contribute to the business performance and credibility of the company, in full interaction internally with different departments and externally with supply points, logistic partners and regulators.

Main responsibilities:

Drive iCare Culture of Quality in our CBU organization & with our external partners to a next level.

  • Set up and lead local iCare Culture of Quality program, in close cooperation with global team and other CBU’s, to improve excellence in execution/Right first time.
  • Co-build optimizations for our CBU quality management system and mindset, in compliance with the Danone standards and guidelines.
  • Perform audits at our (new) external partners/3PM, and set up corrective actions plans and KPI’s to monitor progress.

Leverage consumer voice and secure quality & food safety in all Innovations/Renovations/sourcing changes:

  • Work with R&I, factories and marketing teams and provide QFS insight to the business regarding quality concerns/consumer feedback and define opportunities for reduction of cost of non-quality.
  • Conduct QFS risks assessments in all stages of the innovation process with appropriate mitigation actions to ensure superior product experiences.

QFS approval of 3PM productions (under local responsibility)Support Head of QFS in Crisis management:

  • Advise about actions to be taken, internally and externally towards consumers, customers, warehouses and Food Safety Authorities and other external stakeholders, in case of critical or sensitive complaints.
  • Draft statements on the quality and food safety of our products and services from our CBU.
  • Supports the Head of QFS in crisis prevention on food safety topics (crisis correspondent role).

Leading transversal projects with QFS scope:

  • Set up project goals, project planning and ensure KPI’s are met.
  • Stakeholder management.

About you

In order to be succesfull as a Senior Quality & Food Safety Manager you have around  7-10 years of work experience, including minimal 3 years in a Quality function, and experience with (implementation/auditing according) international Quality standards (ISO 9001, GMP, FSSC22000). In addition, you have:

  •  Master degree in Food Technology or similar.
  • Experience in leading projects to a success.
  • Experience in a factory is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and networking skills which enables you to connect with all different stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Able to provide clear and efficient recommendations and to stay calm in stressful situations. You take decisions or make recommendations while assuming the associated risks
  • Proactive attitude and are not afraid to step up and challenge ideas where you see it’s needed. You are structured and have great analytical skills.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English language speaking and writing, other languages are consider a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Project.
