SHE Manager

Location: Obour Plant


As an SHE Manager you will be responsible to apply Danone SHE Standards across industrial functions. To develop the safety behavior across employees (Safety first)


About the job


  • Lead and monitor the implementation of WISE and Danone Global Safety Standards.
  • Drive the change for the improvement of the safety awareness & culture among plant employees at all levels.
  • Develop SHE vision and road map
  • Assure site management has continuous flow of information concerning accidents, incidents, Near Misses, potential hazards and activities at the site which contribute to safety consciousness and accident prevention.
  • Ensure that all required risk assessments and risk mitigation plans are properly conducted and executed to eliminate all identified safety risks in the plant.
  • Ensure that all planned cross functional inspections and behavior audits are carried out timely and that results are reported to relevant management
  • Monitor & analyze annual site SHE objectives and plant performance improvements.
  • Work closely with the industrial team to ensure that current risks are properly controlled as well as implementation of new projects.
  • Align & coordinate with plant manager the agenda of the monthly safety steering committee & ensure that all actions are been tracked.
  • Investigate root causes of accidents, incidents, injuries and illness resulting from industrial incidents and report them on airsweb system.
  • Plan and conduct emergency drills for the plant and report learning and required actions to plant manager and CBU SHE Manager.
  • Ensure proper distribution and usage of provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) across all plant workforces.
  • Monitor site EHS performance and monthly report results to plant manager and CBU SHE Manager.
  • Ensure safety training programs are attended and completed for all employees in the site and evaluate training results through monitoring trainees' safety performance.
  • Organize & lead safety motivation events in the plant.
  • Review and update the environmental register reports and environmental measurements to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
  • Advise on projects leading to environmental protection.
  • Monitor progress of environmental improvement programs
  • Advise on the disposal and management of waste products.
  • Provide recommendations to ensure that employees are working in a healthy environment and with good well-being.

About you

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant major
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in Safety, Health & Environment role in Factories, preferably FMCGs or Pharmaceuticals Industry.
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Strong Influential Skills
  • Cross-functional Leadership
  • Technical SHE Standards training “NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH”
