We are currently looking for someone who will help us in building and implementing an integrated sustainability strategy for Danone Central and Eastern Europe Country Business Unit, aligned with the One Planet One Health Company vision, working with key external stakeholders, and activating internal stakeholders. The CEE region is a business managing Essential Dairy and Plant-Based and Specialized Nutrition categories in 5 countries (HU, CZ, SK, RO and BG). 


Key Actions: 

  • Defining, Developing, and Delivering against sustainability roadmaps
    • Define sustainability strategy for the business units based on 5 pillars: sustainable packaging, CO2 emissions, and energy consumption, Water stewardship and usage, Health and Well-being, Corporate social responsibility (B Corp certifications, relationship with charities, and donations
  • Supporting the roll-out of the European directives on packaging waste and single-use plastics in line with DANONE commitments
    • ​​​​​​​Understand and influence the evolution of local collecting, sorting, and recycling facilities to improve the recycling rate of packaging put on the market by the business units​​​​​​​
  • Managing key external sustainability stakeholders
    • Manage Sustainability stakeholders (Government, agencies, NGOs, associations, KOLs) relations
    • Represent Danone externally on environmental topics including with media
  • Driving Internal Engagement 
    • ​​​​​​​Engage employees on the sustainability topics
  • Developing and sharing internally expertise on the circular economy
    • ​​​​​​​Collaborate with key industry players and academics to develop a robust understanding of the circular economy
  • Leading B-Corp certification for DANONE in the CEE region
    • ​​​​​​​Develop clear roadmap for all Business units in CEE for certification



About you


  • University- master degree
  • English: proficiency + native language knowledge from 1 of the country from the CEE region (CZ,SK,HU, RO,BG)
  • Knowledge of EU and CEE Countries Sustainability regulations
  • Knowledge of Waste management industries in CEE countries
  • Knowledge of legislative process in CEE countries
  • Knowledge of the food and packaging industry
  • Keynote speaker skills+Ability to engage and convince
  • Project management skills
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Ability to search for innovative solutions and to cooperate with Topline teams and external stakeholders
