We have an opening for a Utility Operator based in DuBois, PA! Incumbents are responsible for ensuring that daily, weekly, and monthly production KPIs are met for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature and Growth. This is a complex, fast paced production setting. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the packaging line runs efficiently by monitoring equipment, trouble shooting minor mechanical issues, supporting the operation in multiple areas and by reporting downtime issues. 

 

  • You will operate and constantly monitor up to two case packing machines on different lines to ensure they are functioning correctly at a line speed of up to 320 cups per minute
  • You will enter/program packaging with correct information on up to two lines
  • You will stock equipment with corrugate on up to two lines
  • You will monitor and operate the palletizing equipment
  • You will replace consumable palletizer materials
  • You will hand stack product
  • You will place product on pallets using the assigned pallet pattern
  • You will maintain the downstream area and all equipment on up to two lines in a clean and sanitary manner to include responsible interior and exterior cleaning of equipment
  • You will perform preventative maintenance as needed
  • You will trouble shoot issues on equipment for up to two lines
  • You will alert maintenance and/or management of any mechanical and/or operational issues
  • You will change sizes on case packer and sleever on up to two lines
  • You will complete of all required paperwork and logs
  • You will support the plant's efforts of DAMAWAY (Danone's system of continuous improvements)
  • You will operate forklift to complete product put away into cooler
  • You will utilize the Blast Cooler during product put away
  • You will perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

 

About you

Education and Experience:

• You have a high school diploma or GED (required)
• You have at least 6 months manufacturing or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• To have successful performance in this job requires that you perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. • You have experience in food manufacturing company (preferred)
• You have experience in the area of operations in food manufacturing company to include working directly with kosher and organic highly preferred
• You have computer experience and knowledge of SAP preferred
