PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Lead and manage Shopper Activation team, having the responsibility for whole in-store activation activities such as POSM (in-store tools) and customer specific campaign. On top of that, he/she is expected to maximize in-store visibility and consumer purchase intention with strong ownership as well as leadership.

Shopper activation team is aiming at developing the best activation plan with cross functional teams based on each objective (e.g. to maximize new product launched impact, to build the relationship with a customer or to get additional in-store space, etc.) and lead these projects.

 

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY

Main responsibilities

In-store POSM development

  • Develop POSM (in-store tool kit) for each channel x customer by collaborating with Marketing team to maximize in-store visibility and accelerate sales
  • Develop POSM design guideline and prepare for sales negotiation
  • Manage sales A&P budget

 

In-store shopper activation plan

  • Develop shopper activation plans (shopper events, customer marketing plans) to drive Sales and and review the result with marketing team
  • Maximize in-store new trial thru the activities based on shopper understanding and contribute to Category growth
  • Develop in-store DEMO plan and its manual for new trial acquisition
  • Seek for new / effective scheme to maximize in-store trial user

 

Team development

  • Lead team with a clear purpose and logic, improve ways of working, and ensure effective collaboration among and beyond the team
  • Performance management and development planning for the team

About you

CAPABILITY PROFILE – Required Background

Education background

  •  Possess a general bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and above

Technical Skills and Experiences required

  • Experience sales or shopper marketing role in FMCG industry (at least 3 years)
  • Experience of co-working with cross-function team
  • Experience of managing an external agency
  • Good knowledge of shopper insight such as Path to Purchase, purchase driver
  • Analytical skill (both qualitative and quantitative)
  • Native level of written and spoken Japanese and intermediate level of written and spoken English
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
