Job Title – Clinical Practice Manager

Location – Leeds

The Clinical Practice Manager is responsible for ensuring that the team are managed and coached to be set up for success, confident and competent to provide excellent enteral nursing services in line with local contractual requirements.
Energy, an ability to think and act quickly and a capacity for leading and developing teams, managing customers and managing change effectively is essential.
The role engages with a number of different stakeholder groups and requires exceptional relational leadership skills coupled with strong clinical credibility and operational effectiveness.


Some responsibilities will include;


  • Management of a field based team (approx. 6)
  • Ensuring that accounts are managed effectively, delivering the service as agreed within the local Nursing Service Level Agreements, ensuring that they meet or exceed all KPIs.
  • Supporting and ensuring that training, field visits and other operational requirements are met, contributing via leadership to a culture of excellent care in a "zero incident" environment.
  • Effective performance management , including any necessary disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Sign off and management of expenses. Team expenses and keeping them in line with policy is essential.
  • Be clinically confident and able to respond to customer clinical queries including new clinical initiatives.
  • Carry own patient caseload, spending 20% of time patient facing.
  • Maintain personal annual enteral tube validation and able to use risk assessment skills to support team and customer clinical queries.
  • Proactively drive clinical governance by monitoring team compliance to practice and identify any gaps in learning or knowledge.
  • Being an active member of the Key Account Team(s) in their area, working closely with Solutions and Contracts team as well as Customer Operations.
  • Taking the day to day management lead in the development of local commercially relevant projects as agreed with the Regional Nursing Manager.
  • Local responsibility for development of services and projects in line with the objectives of the Nutricia Homeward Nurse Leadership Team (NLT).
  • Working as part of a national team with the Nurse Leadership Team to achieve the service's strategic goals.


Additional Responsibilities:
Some travel is required, usually within region, but occasionally to Head Office (Trowbridge / Chiswick) for meetings and also to national nurse management meetings. Cover outside of region may be required. Travel flexibility is important in this role.
