As the Global Circular Economy Manager, your mission is to drive our organization’s efforts in transitioning to a low and circular economy packaging system.

 

You will drive and monitor the implementation of the packaging transformation strategy, working in collaboration with Regions and brands to deliver our Danone Impact Journey goals. As part of your mission, you will be working closely with our upstream suppliers with a focus on  minimizing carbon emissions of our Scope 3 for Packaging and engaging them into sustainable sourcing practices, impacting on human rights, traceability and transparency in the value chain. Your work will contribute to our commitment to the circular economy and help us achieve our sustainability goals.

 

Key responsibilities: 

 

Strategy:

•Develop and engage suppliers and procurement community into sustainable sourcing practices (human rights, just transition), working on traceability in the value chain.
•Work closely with suppliers to understand their sustainability practices and encourage adoption of low carbon and circular materials, Renewable energy.

Collaborate on joint initiatives to reduce emissions throughout the supply chain linked with Packaging.

Reporting: 

•CO2 Reduction Strategies: Develop and implement actionable plans to reduce carbon emissions associated with packaging.
•Supplier Scorecards: Create performance metrics and scorecards to assess supplier sustainability efforts.
•Yearly non-financial reporting (EMF, CDP, etc.)

About you

 

•Minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability, procurement, packaging, or environmental analysis.
•Familiarity with carbon accounting methodologies and tools.
•Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets and draw meaningful insights related to carbon emissions.
•Environmental Knowledge: Understanding of environmental science, circular economy principles, and sustainable packaging.
•Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external partners.
•Communication: Clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•Project Management: Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
•Drive excellence in execution.
•Fluent in English and French highly appreciated.
