As our new Internal Communications & Engagement Intern you will be part of our General Secretary Team in our office in Zoetermeer. You will support the team in the activation of the Communications & Engagement Plan to create a safe, comfortable, and energetic experience for employees.  

Your main responsibilities will be:
Supporting in developing the best internal communication approaches by creating and designing visual communication;
Creating and designing engaging content that will be used to advertise internal matters;
Activating and animating global engagement initiatives (HOPE celebration, Volunteering day, Danone Day and more);
• Taking ownership of our intranet social channels;
Collaborating with different stakeholders by discussing and advising our strategic communication;
Supporting the execution of different campaigns and organizing internal events.
Additionally, you will be involved in generating reports and analyzing results from the global bi-annual Danone People Survey and provide additional support to the HR teams. Moreover, you
will cooperate closely with Internal Communication & Engagement Manager, Communications stakeholders and HR business partners.

About you

You are a Bachelor/Master student in Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Psychology, Business Administration, Public Relations, or in a relevant discipline with an out-going personality and a strong affinity for communication, graphic designing and digital tools. You are not afraid to take initiative and speak up to bring forward your own ideas and suggestions. You thrive in a team setting but are also willing and able to work autonomously when necessary. You have a creative mindset and profound interest in creating engaging content, which you have developed through working with different social media tools and editing visuals and videos. You are able to meet deadlines and prioritize your workload through your organizational skills.
In addition, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Enrolled as a student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
  • Ideally available to start the 15th of March 2023 for a minimum of 6 months (preferably for 9 to 12 months), 5 days per week (with flexibility during the internship for study days);
  • You are fluent in English - oral and written
  • You can travel/work from Zoetermeer, NL once or twice per week;
  • Please note that you are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) for this internship and get a BSN.

We offer a gross monthly internship allowance 650 euros per month and a home working allowance/contribution towards travel. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.


* Please be aware that you must acquire a BSN number to receive the full internship allowance.
