YOUR MISSIONS IN DANONE:

This internship will take place in Evian (74500), at our fantastic production site and research and innovation center of the Evian factory, starting from February-March 2025.

To succeed in your tasks, you will be supported by Beatrice, Circular Polyolefins and Additives Manager, and Veronica, Circular Polymers & Additives Team Leader.

• 70%: Evaluate polypropylene (PP) for Form-fill-seal (FFS) application for yogurt cups
  • Characterize extruded PP sheets for FFS application (mechanical, thermal, spectroscopic characterization, shrinkage tests, and impact resistance);
  • Conduct thermoforming trials on our pilot line to evaluate different formulations and optimize thermoforming parameters;
  • Quantitatively and qualitatively characterize thermoformed cups;
  • Collaborate with the project team to propose new solutions to improve the performance of PP sheets.
• 30%: Complete the PE and PP database for various applications at Danone
  • Conduct literature research and communicate with suppliers to understand the choice of grades for different applications;
  • Update the database with the portfolio of grades used at Danone (caps, bottles, cups, spoons, etc.).

THE PLUS OF THIS INTERNSHIP:

• • Discover the world of food packaging;
  • Gain knowledge on FFS thermoforming technology and other processing technologies;
  • Deepen your understanding of material characterization for food packaging;
  • Learn to work in a large company;
  • Be exposed to a diverse and dynamic environment;
  • Internship: You will receive a stipend ranging from 1.120 € (Bac+4 and gap year) to 1.300 € (Bac+5) gross per month.

YOU:

• Are available from February-March 2025 for a duration of 6 months;
• Are a master student (level Bac +4/5) in a university or engineering school;
• Have a good knowledge of material science and/or chemistry, possibly with an initial experience in polymer chemistry and physics.
• You have a working knowledge of polymer characterization technologies (DSC, IR, Tensile tests, etc) or processing methods (Thermoforming, FFS, blow-moulding).
• You have a dynamic and resourceful approach to work;
• Language: You are fluent (oral and written) in both French and English  
• Software : you have a good command of Power Point, Excel, and Word.
