Internship (Research & Innovation): Packaging Development Intern

During the internship you will be focusing on packaging development for metal cans with an emphasis on new pack functionalities and packaging circularity.

You will be leading your own initiative and supporting the rest of our vibrant international team on key priorities.

You will work in close cooperation with R&I Pack teams, Procurement, UX, Marketing, Quality, Regulatory and/or Global Ops cross-functional teams. You will be in contact with external supplier(s) for your project.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Map and explore technologies bringing additional functionalities to our packs
  • Lead development project from design to technical readiness
  • Support packaging and machine trials, transport tests to validate product life cycle 
  • Benchmark competition packs

About you

As a Packaging Development intern, being pragmatic, flexible and enthusiastic will be second nature to you. You can work both independently and in a team, and are precise. On top of that? You’re a proactive and creative person who’s always looking for opportunities to learn and develop.

 

There are also some compulsory requirements:

  • Enrolled as a Bachelors/Masters student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
  • Ideally available to start in January for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days per week;
  • You are fluent in English - oral and written;
  • You are able to work from the Danone Nutricia Research & Innovation center in our Utrecht office at least 2 times per week;
  • Please note that you are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) for this internship and get a BSN.

As a Packaging Development intern, you will learn about packaging designs and have the opportunity to collaborate with numerous stakeholders while working on your project. And the best part? You’ll be supported from beginning to end by your supervisor and will have the chance to work alongside professionals in the field. Together, we’ll build a healthier world.

 

We offer a gross monthly internship allowance 650 euros per month and a home working allowance/contribution towards travel. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.

 

* Please be aware that you must acquire a BSN number to receive the full internship allowance.
