Role Purpose:

Deliver high-quality, efficient dysphagia care to residents with dysphagia in nursing homes accessing the Nutricia Care service, in line with the Nutricia Care strategy. 

 

Our dynamic community-based adult dysphagia service is perfect for new graduates or staff grade SLTs seeking hands-on experience and professional growth. Benefit from comprehensive onboarding, clinical supervision, and generous CPD opportunities, including shadowing mobile Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing assessments.

 

 

Key Activities:

  • Conduct in-person and telehealth Dysphagia assessments and develop care plans for patients in community residential care facilities within assigned territory.
  • Conduct Dysphagia rehabilitation as clinically indicated for patients in community residential care facilities within assigned territory.
  • Deliver projects as a member of the Nutricia Care SLT and HCP teams to drive innovative clinical solutions to Nutricia Care nursing homes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop training and support materials/resources for HCPs caring for patients with Dysphagia.
  • Liaise with territory partners to manage relationships with key stakeholders and HCPs in Nutricia Care nursing homes in the region.
  • Meet continuous education requirements and maintain CORU registration.

 

Please note, this role is an 11 month fixed term contract. The ideal candidate would be based in Galway, Offaly, Limerick or Clare. However applications from other geographical areas will are welcomed and territory will be decided upon appointment.

We would like you to demonstrate your following key skills:

  • Strong time management, organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, adapting your communication style to various stakeholders, HCPs, patients etc.
  • Ability to instill trust and credibility with other HCPs, internally and externally.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

You must be a CORU registered Speech and Language Therapist. If your CORU registration is due within the next 4-8 weeks, we would still love to hear from you.

 

 

You will need to hold a full Irish Driving license. We’ll also provide you with a company car & fuel card.
