About the job

This position is responsible for running and maintaining all basic process and process related functions and equipment with quality being the major concern. Be able to effectively work in a team environment and communicate (verbal and written) with people on a professional level. Contributes to overall department production goals, maintains a clean and safe work environment. Finally, follows all safety procedures as stated in GMP, safety standards, plant rules, and code of ethics.

About you

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 – 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required is acceptable

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

      Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Knowledge of SAP, Redzone
  • Knows all the safety rules, plant rules, GMP, and code of ethics and follows them strictly at all time
  • Knowledge of risk of cross-contamination, basic chemical properties, and specific information of allergens in plant

 

Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, schedules, ingredients, recipes, safety procedures, emergency procedures, chemicals labels, graphs, charts, reports, and computer monitors
  • Ability to effectively communicate specific information using verbal and simple hand signals to team members, leads, customers, supervisors, and auditors in a noisy environment
  • Ability to read, and interpret data from charts, graphs, and instruments, and compute rate, ratio, and percent and to identify any digressions
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to use calculator to solve basic formulas
  • Ability to be very precise when measuring raw materials

 

Abilities:

  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, electronic, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to work with others, to complete regulatory duties
  • Ability to multi-task and time-manage themselves
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to tactically think in terms of process improvement
  • Able to think quickly on their feet, especially in emergency situations
  • Ability to add and complete work from other processors as needed
