Role: Project Lead

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Lead to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team. The Project Lead will play a critical role in leading and delivering various projects within our innovation, renovation, sourcing, business continuity, and productivity initiatives. This role will report directly to the Head of PMO and will contribute to the successful execution of our project portfolio.

 

The role is based in Broomfield, CO and hybrid with Tues-Thurs in office.

 

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource requirements.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with project goals and company strategies.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings, setting clear expectations and roles for project team members.
  • Manage project execution, monitoring progress, tracking milestones, and ensuring adherence to project plans.

 

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success and develop mitigation plans.
  • Proactively address challenges and roadblocks, making necessary adjustments to keep projects on track.
  • Implement strategies to minimize project risks and ensure timely resolution of issues.

 

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent information flow.
  • Provide regular project status updates and reports to the Senior Manager of the PMO and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate productive meetings, discussions, and decision-making processes to drive project progress.

 

Resource Allocation and Management:

  • Coordinate with resource managers to allocate resources effectively and efficiently to support project activities.
  • Manage project team members' tasks, responsibilities, and performance, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

 

Quality Control:

  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to established best practices.
  • Conduct thorough project reviews and quality checks to ensure completeness and accuracy.

 

Change Management:

  • Navigate and manage changes to project scope, timelines, or requirements while minimizing impact on project goals.
  • Communicate changes to stakeholders and adjust project plans as needed.

 

The base compensation range for this position is $75,000-$105,000 commensurate with experience. 

 

There is also an exciting Success Bonus opportunity related to this role. 

This Position falls under Danone’s strategic portfolio review, which includes the potential sale of the Horizon Organic and Wallaby brands.  An employee who accepts this role agrees to transition to a new employer in the event of a sale. 

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Management, Engineering, etc.).
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering and leading projects within the food industry or related sectors.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
