Senior Manager, Supply Chain Sourcing (Warehousing)

About the job

We are currently looking to hire a Sr. Manager – Supply Chain Sourcing.  The successful candidate will join the North American Cycles & Procurement Indirect team and will be tasked with managing the pallet and chilled warehousing portfolio for Danone North America.   The position will be based in Broomfield, CO or White Plains, NY and the successful candidate can expect to travel ~15%.

Responsibilities:

Supplier & Contract Management:

  • Develop and launch large and complex RFQs / RFPs to selected warehouse & pallet suppliers to meet business needs.
  • Analyze proposals and make best case performance and financial recommendations to business stakeholders.
  • Manage warehouse and pallet suppliers to ensure comprehensive business needs are met. 
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators as required and manage suppliers, as appropriate. 
  • Regularly lead and support continuous improvement initiatives and projects. 
  • Regularly engage and skillfully negotiate with vendors on commercial and legal terms as appropriate.
  • Draft contracts and align on contractual language with legal as appropriate. 

 

Strategy & Stakeholders:

  • Lead, develop, and implement a category sourcing strategy for Warehousing & Pallet Management Pooling.
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand and support evolving business needs.
  • Propose best quality, time and cost solutions aligning with business needs and aligned strategies.   
  • Develop, leverage, and deploy warehousing technology solutions where appropriate.
  • Operate with a One Planet One Health (OPOH) mindset, integrating sustainable initiatives where appropriate. 
  • Provide continual and ad-hoc market and project updates to stakeholders and Sr. Leadership, as required.

 

Financial:

  • Continually identify and deliver on cost savings goals and initiatives.
  • Partner with the business and finance to develop financial forecasts, cost trends/inflation, call out risks and opportunities as appropriate.
  • Continually track and manage full portfolio spend.

 

The base compensation range for this position is $109,000-164,000 commensurate with experience. About you

Education and Experience:

  • You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Economics.
  • You will have 5-8 years of experience in a strategic purchasing function or warehouse experience with demonstrated skills for negotiation.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • You will ideally have 5-8 years professional procurement or warehouse management experience.
  • You will have advanced contracting skills – cradle to grave ownership.
  • You will have strong influencing skills. 
  • You will have strong data analysis experience & financial acumen.
  • You will ideally have experience in the food manufacturing industry or experience with perishable products.
  • You will work collaboratively on cross functional projects & have strong negotiation & communication skills.
  • You will be proactive & a strategic thinker.
