The Senior Project Manager (PM) works with the Program Champion to define Program Scope and receive approval from Nutricia North America senior leaders to commence work on a Program. Once approved, Senior PM obtains resources from functional areas (Research & Innovation (R&I), Marketing, Supply Chain, etc.) and builds master project timeline based on timelines from each functional area, modifying & coordinating the functional areas’ timelines to build a feasible, unified, master program timeline.


The Senior PM manages projects in alignment with deliverables including holding weekly/bi-weekly project team meetings and monthly Gate meetings. The Senior PM ensures that functional leaders are prepared to present and to make recommendations to the Leadership Team on the way forward in between project gates/monthly LIMs. This role will regularly interact with the Leadership Team.


The Senior PM will also play a key role in the execution of activity management within the BU Operations to ensure smooth phasing of new products and renovations including master data management of those related activities.

About you


About You:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, food science, supply chain, business, or other relevant discipline.
  • You have 5+ years of experience in project management and/or leading teams.
  • You have 8+ years of combined experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Research & Innovation and/or Marketing.
  • You may have experience in medical foods or fast-moving consumer goods, highly preferred!
  • You may have Agile Project Management (Scrum) certification - it's a plus!
  • You must have Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • You have experience with Project & Portfolio management software is preferred.


Your Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborating with functional leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
  • Planning project management including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
  • Analyzing financial data, including project budget, risks, and resource allocation.
  • Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that team members are carrying their tasks efficiently while upholding the company’s standards.
  • Drafting new project management office policies and processes.
  • Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, ad meeting deadlines.
  • Accurately documenting the project’s creation, development, and execution as well documenting the project’s scope, budget, and justification.
  • Obtaining formal approvals for the initiation of a program, prior to commencement.
  • Managing programs: masterplans, executing, communicating about, managing risk, etc.
  • Creating basic processes to improve efficiency of projects.
  • Producing reports, timelines, etc. on program status, gate deliverables, etc. for communication.
  • Ensuring that required resources are assigned to programs and appropriately utilized.
  • Balancing competing objectives and overcomes constraints to deliver results.
  • Understanding Stage Gate well and ensures his/her programs adhere to Danone North America standards
  • Prepares Project Champions, with help from Managers/Sr Managers for successful Gate meetings
  • Maintaining system master data at SKU level (parameters, characteristics, Orsoft flow).
  • Facilitating the monthly New Product Introduction review as part of S&OP process and liaising with Demand Planning to ensure all innovations/ renovations are included in the Demand Plan;
  • Coordinating the post launch analysis and presenting an overview of the success rate monthly to Leadership Team including action plan when required.
  • Managing projects and projects portfolio KPIs.

The base compensation range for this position is $97,000 - $140,000. Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options.
