About the job

A Sr. Payroll & Employee Request Specialist plays a critical role in the execution of payroll operations, addressing employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, particularly in region like India, South East Asia.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage HR administration activities such as payroll, benefits administration, leave management, time and attendance report (only for Thailand & India), Expatriate Tax Clearance and employee request management  
  • Ensure all employee movement data from hire to retire are being maintain in local payroll system and global HRMS system in a timely manner
  • Prepare reconciliation, payroll and other reports to HR and Finance
  • Support relevant teams in providing data in relation to payroll/C&B/people cost
  • Ensure payroll is adapted to business unit need and compliant to company policy, Legal/Statutory/Labor Law declarations
  • Liaise with local statutory bodies and others relevant party on payments, tax and other relevant matters
  • Subject matter expert on payroll calculations and statutory advice for local and expatriate employees
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement to the payroll system and process
  • Responsible for the administration of medical and insurance data
  • In charge of all payroll data related audits – ensuring 100% compliance.
  • Work on ad-hoc task and project where relevant

About you

  • Bachelor or above degree, preferably in related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of HR administration & payroll processes and systems, local regulations for multiple countries i.e. Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, India 
  • Experience in payroll system implementation, streamlining the payroll processes and SOP 
  • Preferably experience working in shared service center will be added advantages 
  • Good command of English in writing and speaking
  • Self-motivated with drive, passion and high integrity
  • Business partnering and service-oriented mindset
  • Continuous improvement skills and innovation mindset
  • Analytical mindset and being meticulous on payroll related data
  • Able to interact with global/international stakeholders
  • Strong process control
