QFS Plant Process Control Manager

- Ensuring the production of safe food in compliance with Danone's standards and legal requirements.
- Contributing to the release of products that meet quality requirements, thereby maintaining the health and satisfaction of Danone's customers.
- Coordinating, planning, and controlling quality control processes and tests in the Quality Control Department.
- Defining and ensuring efficient FPQ RTT is implemented on site
- Ensuring that Quality Control Laboratories (SN specific) have the necessary competencies and potential to conduct all tests as FTR (First Time Right) and within the declared LT (Lead Time).
- Ensuring that all raw materials and semi-finished products and packaging are properly inspected before being released for production and that their compliance with specifications is confirmed.
- Ensure non-conformances related to quality and food safety are managed according to PNC program
- Ensuring efficient complaints management process
- Prioritizing the safety of both the product and the general work environment in daily duties.
In plants implementing IWS, the PQC is member of a Pillar team and owns at least one system.

 

 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY


Main Deliverables:
- Collect all inputs to allow finished product release, ensuring all decisions made regarding the quality status of products, semi-finished products, and raw materials are made independently.
- Manage finished product release according to predefined requiremnets (SN specific) Decide on product release in case of process or product deviations based on risk analysis results, additional tests, etc.
- Ensure all Raws and Packs quality control at delivery. Manage QN with connection to suppliers packaging quality including pack materials validation, developing line standards for packaging and improvement with supplier based on QN
- Determine the frequency and scope of control for raw materials, materials, semi-finished products, products, packaging and the production environment.
- Interpret test results and signaling quality non-conformities related to raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products.
- Ensure raw materials, materials, and semi-finished products are analyzed according to current control plans and released for production if they meet quality requirements.
- Approve raw material and packaging material specifications.
- Define acceptance criteria for the above, ensuring compliance with corporate and formal requirements.
- Establish test schedules for products, semi-finished products, and in-process tests, and participating in establishing test schedules for raw materials and packaging.
- Manage quality documentation changes for raw materials, materials, and semi-finished products.
- Coordinate work related to setting test dates for new products (SN Specific).
- Mangement of all complaints (consumers and customers and authorities and NGOs) with consumer centric approach, to ensure proper analysis, improvement in place
- Participate in Crisis Team activities as defined by the QFS Plant Quality Leader.
- Provide data/calculate KPIs defined for Quality Control.


Management activities
- Setting goals for Quality Control employees and related functions and planning the implementation of assigned actions.
- Managing the potential of Q Control - ensuring continuity and availability of equipment and personnel.
- Ensuring timely and reliable delivery of results.
- Identifying QC investment needs.
- Developing and updating QC work processes and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 requirements.
- Managing cooperation with external laboratories.
- Ensuring optimal use of the Quality Control budget.
- Being responsible for the development of the subordinate team.

KEY REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

 

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

 

- MSc, B.Sc., Qualification in Food Science or Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology or related fields
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within Quality discipline in a food manufacturing or regulatory related function (QS, QA, QC, RA) in food, pharmaceutics, medical devices or biotechnology
- Minimum 3 years leadership/management experience and having delivered tangible results within an integrated management system field.
- Working experience in a processing & manufacturing environment.
- Very good knowledge of the applicable quality & food safety management systems (ISO, FS22000, PRP’s, HACCP, GMP, etc.) and the application thereof.
- Communication and presentation skills
- Training skills
