Hi, I’m Tero!

I'm a Senior Key Account Manager in Finland

I’m responsible for the sales execution across more than a thousand stores in Finland and making sure all our products are available for people to buy from the shops. I also make sure our sales people who visit the stores have everything they need to sell our products.

It’s more than just a job! 

I have grown to love the Danone culture and the way we genuinely care about people here. It is in our DNA. Much has happened since 2011. It’s a big part of my journey in life and a part of my identity. It is also a tremendous place to grow as a person and as an employee.

It is important that the company and its people care about others.

The people I work with are very talented but at the same time they understand and appreciate the same Danone culture as I do. It’s about openness, helping out and very little about internal competition or politics. It’s easy to build a strong team and to really enjoy your work in such an environment. 

Sometimes it’s about completely changing your perspective.

A big challenge has been to move from my original area of expertise (supply chain) to sales and leading a group of 7 sales representatives some of which have worked in that position for decades. This I had to manage without any experience in sales but together with my team and their best knowledge of the field we continue to grow together.

I have learnt a lot about how we run the business in general by being part of different teams and cross-functional discussions. It has definitely changed my attitude and understanding of why certain things are done the way they are. This is what motivates me at Danone.
