As the Sales Manager of Mexico, you will lead the strategic direction and execution of sales initiatives in Mexico. Your mission is to drive revenue growth and market expansion by leveraging a cross-functional team to develop and implement comprehensive business plans, with Mexico as a priority. LATAM is one of our biggest regions with a high level of growth expectation. In line with this expectation, all Sales Managers in the LATAM region are expected to contribute to the projects of the region. You will be responsible for:

 

  • Strategic Leadership: Formulating and executing sales strategies that align with regional and global objectives.

  • Team Collaboration: Leading and inspiring a cross-functional team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

  • Business Planning: Developing and managing detailed business plans that outline goals, strategies, and performance metrics.

  • Cross-Country Project Management: Coordinating and overseeing cross-country projects in collaboration with the Head of LATAM to ensure seamless execution and alignment with regional priorities.

  • Market Analysis: Conducting thorough market analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers (distributors) and stakeholders to drive loyalty and long-term partnerships.

 

Your role is pivotal in shaping the future of our sales operations in the LATAM region, ensuring sustainable growth and success.

 

Responsible for the development and management of the Business Plan by :

 

  • building the route to market and sales strategy for the region for rolling 3 years
  • leading the cross functional team to develop the full business plan including all areas.
  • developing the sales strategy and implementing the executional plan through Distributors
  • maximising sales and profit in the territory
  • setting KPI’s for distribution and sales execution
  • frequent visits to the territory to monitor performance, implementation, reinforce way of working and relationship, identify new business opportunities and potential risks.
  • reinforcing and expanding business launching new categories and products in territory
  • building and maintaining relationships for the company as sale representative for the selected countries
  • maintaining contacts with key internal and external stakeholders: e.g. Embassies, Consulates, Banks, medical society and other organizations

 

Country knowledge:

  • by collecting the relevant country data
  • by keeping track of competition / market in territory to be able to adopt sales strategy and to provide / report information to Management and back office.
  • by keeping track and reporting competitors activities and developments in the countries

 

Maximize sales & profit in territory

  • assessment of the growth/market share potential and setting targets per year
  • full gap analysis and definition of the growth levers
  • focus on the consumer-shopper understanding
  • build a concrete long term action plan to reach the agreed potential
  • full control over cost and resources (A&P, Trade Support, discounts, etc)
  • collect outstanding debts, control & payment behaviours
  • reporting financial data related to Distributors in territory

 

Communication with all relevant Nutricia Worldwide departments

Educational & Professional Background

  • University degree, Business or Marketing.
  • 3-5 years previous experience working for a larger/similar Medical/FMCG/Blue Chip Company in a sales management position
  • Leadership skills
  • Speaks and writes Spanish (native) and English fluently
  • Knowledge of LATAM culture
  • Solid understanding of theoretical and practical application of category
  • Distributor management skills
  • Intercultural communication, relationships and negotiation skills
  • Relationship building skills and commercial awareness
  • Transparent, ethical and trustworthy
