Then become our next Regenerative Agriculture Data Intern based in Hoofddorp, NL, starting in February 2026. Interested? Apply now!
Food systems need to be transformed to be fit for the future. People are increasingly conscious of the environmental and social impacts of their food choices. In parallel, new scientific studies are defining "sustainable diets" that can provide healthy and nutritious food to the growing world population while respecting environmental limits.
In the fourth quarter of 2022, Danone submitted its 1.5C SBTi FLAG target and in January 2023, the company made a global commitment to align with the Global methane pledge and reduce by 30% its methane emissions from fresh milk used in its dairy products between 2020-2030. GHG monitoring, reporting and verification standards and processes are critical to be able to capture GHG emissions reductions. Alongside delivering on this critical climate agenda, Regenerative agriculture has a lead role to play in protecting and improving soil health, biodiversity, and water resources, while promoting animal welfare and supporting farming resilience and long-term profitability. It is a critical enabler to deliver on Danone Impact Journey. The Regenerative agriculture team is working in partnership with farmers and suppliers to transform our sourcing models towards regenerative agriculture and enable continuous improvement on sustainability.
In this role, you will be part of the Global Regenerative Agriculture team, with a strong focus on data management, analytics and insights generation related to dairy farming systems.
You will work with large datasets collected by local teams across multiple countries, containing farm-level information related to environmental, operational and regenerative agriculture performance.
Your main mission is to support global consolidation, quality control, analysis and reporting of datasets for dairy farming focused on carbon and methane performance, enabling the team to monitor performance, identify best practices, detect gaps, and support action plans with local/regional teams.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, high level of attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear insights and recommendations.
