Tax Specialist Greater China Market

The successful candidate, the Tax Specialist will support tax compliance and reporting activities for Danone's Greater China business units, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations while contributing to tax planning initiatives, transfer pricing activities, and regional tax projects. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with local and regional stakeholders, gaining exposure to a broad spectrum of tax matters within a dynamic multinational environment.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Tax Compliance and Reporting
Prepare both direct and indirect tax returns and ensure they are lodged before their statutory due date.

Prepare tax computations as required to file for tax payments in compliance with local tax regulations.

Prepare and finalize annual statutory and tax disclosures with local tax teams.

Execute internal tax reporting, forecast and analysis, as well as tax provision.

Tax Planning and Projects
Provide the local tax team to provide tax related advisory.

Support the local tax team on tax planning projects and tax risks management.

Support and coordinate in cross-function projects.

Transfer Pricing (TP) Reporting and Planning
Assist local tax team on routine TP documentation.

Support the TP review based on the global schedule.

Support ad-hoc TP / benchmark studies.

Relationship with Authorities
Support in dealing with tax audit and tax defense.

Internal Control / Learning
Prepare and SOPs to document tax positions and work processes.

Keep updated internal control procedures and provide documents for DanGo.

Über Dich

What You'll Bring

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Law, or a related field.
  • Around 3 years or more of relevant tax experience, with exposure to tax compliance, reporting, advisory, or corporate tax matters.
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • Experience gained from a Big 4 firm, multinational corporation (MNC), or shared services environment would be highly valued.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
  • A strong sense of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Professional proficiency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is required to effectively support and collaborate with stakeholders across APAC markets, particularly Greater China.
  • Candidates who are able to join within a short notice period will have an added advantage.
