In some cases, our team creates reports, dashboards, forecasts, or artificial intelligent models. In other cases, we buy and deploy digital procurement solutions like Coupa, Zycus, Sievo and Everstream.  

When you join our team, you will work in foundational projects that create a state-of-the-art and data-enabled procurement organization.  

As Head of Digital Procurement you will be responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of the digital tools and third-party solution/service partners in C&P. You will provide direction to a multidisciplinary digital delivery team, aimed at building a digital and data-enabled procurement organization.

Your main responsibilities:

Drive the digital transformation of procurement

• Create a global digital transformation strategy for C&P, based on your understanding of user needs and future trends in digital procurement and procurement analytics;
• Coordinate with the Business Solutions team (demand management and link to the business) the implementation of new tools, improvement of the current ones, and execution of business projects according to C&P strategic needs;

Core Model Deployment

• Lead the deployment of the core model of procurement in the geographies where it is missing, or design enhancements and evolutions to the current digital solutions.
• Lead the solution selection, business case design, and proposal developments for extending the current technology capabilities of procurement.

Digital product management

• Ensure your tools are widely used across C&P, help the users maximize the value of them, and ensure a good user experience;
• Help the Digital C&P team build the right tools, trainings, communications, and processes by developing and prioritizing product roadmaps and backlogs;
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders and users to ensure they are clear on the benefits of the tools/solutions and that their feedback is being used to inform ongoing improvements;

Artificial Intelligence

• You will pilot and scale up AI solutions to support our procurement experts, like our genAI buyer companion and material price analysis.
• You will lead the selection and implementation of our procurement orchestration technology.

Technology Innovation

• Design our strategy to innovate and partner with startups in the digital/tech procurement ecosystem;

Team management

• Manage a global team of digital managers in charge of the implementation and adoption of the tools
• Set measurable goals for Digital C&P’s team and tools, report against these, to demonstrate progress, drive incremental benefits with and from the digital solutions;

About you
To become successful in this role you need to have a deep understanding of procurement, supply chain, and technology. Experience leading a team of tech experts and product owners is a plus. Also, you need to have demonstrated experience in transforming a procurement function by implementing digital procurement and procurement analytics tools as well as experience in deploying more than one digital platform for procurement in areas like spend analytics, contract analytics, supply chain risk, SRM, sustainability, digital scouting.

Furthermore, you have:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as project/program manager in e-procurement and digital supply chain.
• Experience leading the deployment teams of Source to Pay technology globally, ideally Coupa and Zycus.
• Extensive knowledge of the technology landscape in source to pay, SRM, category strategy, and procurement analytics.
• Experience executing projects with agile methodology;
• Good understanding of tech concepts like cloud, AI (Artificial Intelligence), SaaS (Software as a Service), BI, data engineering;
• Negotiation and vendor management;
• Strategy and consulting skills;
• Client centricity, stakeholder management skills.
• Based in The Netherlands and open to hybrid working.
