We are looking for a User Experience Design Senior Manager Specialized Adults to accelerate the UX transformation and bring the user voice into Adult category business. This position is a great opportunity for someone wishing to join a dynamic community, in the User Experience department of Danone Global Research & innovation Center in Utrecht. Act as a catalyst of a consumer centric organization and drive consumer empathy.

 

Our dynamic UX community, with more than 100 collaborators across the world, has as main mission to embody the user voice to inspire and co-design awesome food experiences that people will adopt. We work in a multi-disciplinary business environment, to understand consumer’s behaviors and expectations and design Products and Packaging. We partner with leading edge scientists and agencies to build competitive advantage for Danone.

 

The Senior UX Design Manager Adult develops and drives the implementation of the UX strategy and priorities in line with business needs – its main missions are to:

  1. Co-Build UX roadmap for Adult main categories to design and deliver Superior product experiences focusing on Frailty and Disease Related Malnutrition
  2. Inspire and fuel innovation projects through deep user immersion and iteration and UX insights.
  3. Ensure awesome user experience in every product we launch, by uncovering sensory and user experience drivers
  4. Understand and translate users’ drivers to drive Adult superiority agenda.
  5. Guide UX design of our offers, by translating relevant and powerful user insights, contributing to business growth and building competitive advantage for Adult Business.

 

In this role you will interface with multi-disciplinary teams and key capabilities in R&I and be a real business partner to the SN marketing teams.  Given this, you should bring experience in sensory and behavior design research together with a passion for bringing the consumer voice into the business, and ability to influence and lead the change with key business partners.  An affinity to innovation techniques such as co-design techniques and sensory design is a plus.

Danone Global Research & Innovation Center for Specialized Nutrition, located in the Utrecht Science Park in the Netherlands is a state-of-the-art Life Science innovation center for the development of new product concepts for Specialized Nutrition. We create formulas that provide clinically substantiated health benefits to vulnerable consumers – infants, toddlers, elderly and patients.

UX team plays a key role, being at the heart of the Adult Medical Nutrition agenda, where we are in a big transformation journey to impact patients's lifes.

For the Adult category we are looking for a Senior User Experience Design Manager to join the team.

This global role is based in Utrecht (The Nederlands) and reports to the Sr. Team Leader User Experience for Adult Category.

Your Accountabilities & Responsibilities will include:

  1. Build a strong relationship with your business partners R&I, S&I, Marketing and external suppliers
  • Ensure high degree of collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive user-centric design and behavior understanding to improve adherence.
  • Constructively influence key stakeholders to integrate the user voice in projects, from insight hunting to the adequate validation process
  • Build and nurture the collaborations with suppliers (Sensory & Consumer Agencies, Design Agencies)
  • Actively work in partnership with global UX and Adv design team and strengthen the UX community: deploy the strategy, build & share best practices, develop the adequate skill set and right level of expertise.
  1. Define, lead and deliver the sensory and consumer insights roadmap to inspire and impact business growth
  • Co-Build the UX Adult strategy in close collaboration with SN R&I and Marketing teams. Uncover relevant user pain points / delighters / sensory insights and translate them into tangible actions for the development of meaningful user experiences.
  • Be the catalyst of a consumer centric organization and drive consumer empathy. Be the change agent to put consumer at the heart of product & pack development to ensure outstanding and unique products experience in line with the positioning of our brands for greater market success
  • Facilitate UX Workshops with internal teams and consumers
  • Leverage external experts and drive academic collaboration to develop solutions that people adopt to improve health impact.

About you

  • More than 8 years of successful experience in Sensory Design and Consumer research.
  • PhD or Master Degree in Sensory and consumer research with a strong expertise in consumer studies and product design.
  • You have a passion for bringing consumer insights into technical design guidelines for our innovation.
  • You are curious and able to drive conviction-based arguments and activities – challenging the status quo, driving the consumer transformation
  • You are business and results oriented, demonstrating insight mindset (i.e. ability to integrate various source of data and bring meaning, make data actionable) with high level of critical thinking and business relevance
  • You have a solid experience of collaborative working (incl. with cross-functional teams), with strong leadership (incl. in complex matrix environment) and inter-personal skills for dealing with and influencing a variety of people (profile and seniority level).
  • You have a passion for insights management and storytelling.
  • You are fluent in English, and international experience is a bonus.
