Financial Controller - Material Cost

About the job

The Material Cost Controller plays an integral role in the Finance team, acting as a crucial link between Procurement and R&I teams. The candidate will be responsible for managing, forecasting, and controlling material costs, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing support in the procurement process. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in SAP, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

 

About the Job:

 

  • Drive Budget preparation process for the business
  • Implement, develop, and ensure adoption of Rolling Forecast methodology.
  • Support procurement and R&I Teams on financial matters and performance monitoring
  • Perform monthly closing activities with a clear gap analysis against Budget
  • Build detailed Material cost budget
  • Update budget based on new economic assumptions and new volumes
  • Calculate Inventory (R&P) landing forecast
  • Prepare material cost analysis for zone, local team, and Top management
  • Conduct Variance analysis between monthly actual financials and forecast
  • Highlight Financial Risks & Opportunities with close a follow-up and ideas for mitigation
  • Prepare material cost variance Vs LY offering key highlight and insights considering the proper allocation
  • Track material cost productivity projects, execution, and financial impact.
  • Manage purchase order process for locally procured goods & service
  • Lead the annual strategic business plan & rolling forecast

About you

1.               Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field preferred

2.               4 to 6 years of experience in a FMCG with 2-3 Years of experience in Material cost/COGS controlling

4.               SAP knowledge is a must

5.               Ability to work under pressure.

6.               Effective communication skills in English (both written and spoken).

7.               Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team to ensure consistency in reporting.

8.               Strong Influential skills to influence and stakeholder management
