For this position, you will be part of the End-to-End Packaging & Manufacturing organization. The Manufacturing and Co-Manufacturing department represents around 3bn€ spends, you will be part of the Global Capex Category team, managing a bit less than 1 bn€ spends.

The Capex Packaging team is fully involved in the transformation of our Operations model, to make it more agile and flexible, supporting the packaging transformation journey, and answering the new consumers expectations, and growth enablers.

This role will have a strong interface with the central and regional engineering teams in order to ensure adequation between packaging shape/material and technologies. This role will be in charge to articulate the company sourcing strategy based on business need and supplier/technologies within the market or in development, with a strong focus on innovation from a technical standpoint.

 

The 3 main missions of this position are:

  • Productivity : Reduce Capex intensity by activating e-sourcing, Best Coast Countries supply base, systematic competition, challenge the specifications. Opex productivity on new machines or installed equipment, payment terms optimization. Support and align projects portfolio with regions
  • Capex engagement model : support regions by sharing category strategies, bring the right expertise to lead the main capex packaging projects worldwide, respecting methods and tools to deliver compliancy and performance.
  • Innovation : discover/purpose and implement innovation on Pack scope, in order to enhance top line growth, through time to market, RoIC, quality and food safety compliancy, packaging transformation by technology and agile manufacturing program and/or COGS reduction.         

As Global Category Buyer Capex Packaging your role will be to :

  • Give vision of your portfolio ambition:
    • Translate the business strategies, by building and leading the Capex Packaging strategy and policies,
    • Establish and deliver, together with your stakeholders, one Capex packaging sourcing approach, contributing to the performance of each BU.
  • Act as a business partner:
    • Drive an active Supplier Relationship Management within your sourcing ecosystem, including the Best Costs Countries suppliers, manage and support the strategic projects for the Company, together with the Regions, and stakeholders,
    • Leverage sourcing expertise to identify and increase savings opportunities, leading  initiatives to improve the TCO of the installed base (performance, packaging materials, maintenance, spare parts), lead risk management of your portfolio.
  • Insure Capex procurement engagement:
    • Provide methods and tools to improve the efficiency of our processes, and make sure the C&P Capex/Manufacturing network is compliant with those processes.
    • Monitor category performance, total costs, security of Operational supply, contract coverage of the category, supporting productivity and cash&flow requirement.
    • Lead the strategic Capex projects, up to supplier selection aligned with Sourcng Strategies, negotiate General Terms and Conditions of Purchase with key suppliers and support regions in contract management.
  • Prepare the future of the Company:
    • Investigate, promote, and co-develop new technology solutions answering new business needs and packaging trends,
    • Contribute to the new suppliers capabilities development. Select suppliers, source, negotiate and execute contracts. This also includes simplifying and harmonizing the way we work with suppliers.

About you

  • You have an engineering background (mechanical/electrical) and first relevant professional experiences in procurement for at least of 7 years, ideally in food or FMCG.
  • You have a good technical understanding of the manufacturing technologies, especially the packaging technologies.
  • Ideally, you already experienced Best Cost Country supplier engagement in your previous experience.
  • You display customer-centric behavior, with proven experience in pro-actively challenging the status quo and engage your stakeholders. You also have the capability to listen, understand constraints, and take decision without all the information needed.
  • You feel at ease in diverse and multi-cultural environments. You are praised for being a rapid thinker and innovative solution-oriented. You display pragmatism and can apply a strategic approach to business (helicopter view).
  • You are tenacious and able to champion the vision of the organization, with a strong appetite to drive continuous improvement. You bring high energetic with a positive, solution-oriented outlook.
  • You are fluent in English, this is a must.
  • You're willing to travel, once the situation allows.
