At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Digital Manufacturing Director which is a hybrid role based in one of our plant locations or HQ offices.  We have plant locations in Dallas, Texas; Fort Worth, Texas; Portland, Oregon; Eugene, Oregon; City of Industry, California; Chatsworth, California; West Jordan, Utah; Minster, Ohio; Mt Crawford, Virginia; Dubois, Pennsylvania; Bridgeton, New Jersey; Jacksonville, Florida.  We have two headquarter offices in Broomfield, CO and White Plains, NY. 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and management of advanced digital technologies in the manufacturing process, known as the Digital Manufacturing Acceleration program (DMA).  This role focuses on integrating Industry 4.0 solutions to enhance production efficiency, quality, and flexibility.  This is a project management role overseeing the development and execution of digital transformation strategies, ensuring alignment of digital initiatives with Danone’s overall business objectives.  We are seeking a forward-thinking leader who can drive strategy, innovation, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to deliver the results needed to drive factory competitiveness.

 

Main responsibilities include:

Business Strategy/Strategic Vision

  • Develop, lead and implement a comprehensive strategy for Digital Manufacturing Scale Up Engine (Mode 1) or New technologies exploration (Mode 2)
  • Identify opportunities for digital innovation and automation to improve manufacturing processes.  Advanced knowledge of the Catalogues of Digital Solutions and Platforms, Coordinate and animate the Solutions Value Owners (SVO) roles or Exploration’s Product owners.  Problem solves the main roadblocks, interacting with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Lead, support and challenge the implementation plan across the factories, to maximize the value captured.  Track the Value Impact and Implementation KPIs on a weekly basis. 

Impact on Business Results

  • Lead, support and challenge the Digital Productivity roadmap of the plants following the Digital Manufacturing Acceleration (DMA) program.
  • Align with Global DMA leaders on NORAM’s 3-year strategy.
  • Improve performance across D2D, through continuous improvement approaches, to optimize the implementation time, the users’ adoption, the functionalities, and the interfacing of the solutions.
  • Collaborate with IWS leadership and work streams to integrate DMA as a key enabler to IWS.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the implementation of new technologies.

Process and Projects

  • Oversee the strategic planning, deployment and execution of advanced manufacturing technologies ensuring seamless integration of digital solutions with existing systems and processes. 
  • Be the main point of contact with the Global DMA team, collaborate with them on best practices and digital solutions.
  • Lead, maintain and improve core standards and processes for Catalogues Solutions implementations (Mode 1) and for Innovation (Mode 2).
  • Cross-functional leadership at global level to ensure implementation and solutions adoption:  Factory Digital Leaders, SVOs, IT/Data, C&P, Finance.
  • Lead digital transformation projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Drive connectivity, networking, and benchmarking both internally and externally.

 

The base compensation range for this position is $170,000.00 - $230,000.00 commensurate with experience. About you

ABOUT YOU:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science or related field, required.  A Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • You have 10 plus years of manufacturing or project management experience with  7+ years of leadership experience (directly managing people or indirectly managing through projects), required.
  • You have excellent project management experience and have experience in building and executing strategy.
  • You are process-oriented; able to identify process improvements and implement change successfully and have strong influential skills with the ability to interact successfully with all levels of management.
  • You have complex data analysis and strong problem-solving fundamentals; ability to make decisions with limited information.
  • You have strong understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies and their application in manufacturing.
