The Logistics planner will work with the supply chain team and other business areas to bring Logistics expertise and

business support to develop monitor and achieve set targets.

Danone Nutricia Early Life Nutrition is a division of the Danone Group and the Macroom Supply Point is a strategic

spray drying factory within the division as it is a major supplier of infant formula to other plants within the network

with an annual capacity of 150,000 tonnes.

Main Responsibilities and KPI's 

Preparation of Export and Import documentation

• Responsible for managing all global ocean freight shipments of infant formula base powder from order placement through to final delivery
• Coordinate all ocean freight shipments with carriers and hauliers, ensuring on time and compliant movement of goods to meet all internal and external requirements

Preparation of export documentation compliant with customer SLA’s and customs regulations,

liaising with Department of Agriculture and other authorities as necessary

• Work closely with factory and 3PL warehouse personnel to coordinate loading sequence, resolving any issues as they occur
• Liaise with Quality Department to ensure timely release of goods
• Provide carriers with long and short-term forecast of ocean freight requirements
• Liaise with receiving factories to ensure a high level of customer service
• Responsible for compiling accurate data for supply to the markets
• Focus on continuous improvements in the network

Raising of logistics purchase orders

• Raising of logistics purchasing orders, processing GRNs to enable 3-way invoice match

Systems and KPIs

• Key User of local module of SAP APO SNP & related Masterdata
• Manage relations with customers and maintain KPIs
• Responsible for measuring Customer Service Level, managing customer complaints related to logistics and report inventory levels
• Support logistics related projects as required

Professional Experience and Qualifications 

• A proven track record in planning with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience
• Experience in the dairy or food industry is desirable but not essential
• Ability to present accurate concise reports to Senior Management
• Relevant Third Level qualification
• Proficient in the use of MS Office tools, particularly in Excel
• Proficient numerical ability to record interpret and analyse key process data
• SAP experience advantageous but not essential
• Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills
