As part of this role you will be interacting with a wide range of senior stakeholders & functions at global and local level.  

The role reports to EDP Global Portfolio & Business Development Director

 

Objective of the role :

Support the development and delivery of the Global Dairy Category Strategy by translating consumer and market opportunities into a clear portfolio strategy and business development agenda. Lead the roll‑out of the Demand Spaces approach into actionable portfolio choices, growth platform roadmaps, and zone/CBU activation. Contribute to defining category evolution pathways (core + adjacencies), including foresight and new growth platforms, in close partnership with brands, insights, R&I, and commercial teams.

 

Deliverables :

  • Portfolio Strategy workstream: lead/support N+1 in the implementation of the next phase of global Portfolio Strategy based on priority Demand spaces for the category.
  • Structure Top Growth Platforms and New Growth Platforms; integrate foresight signals, consumer insights into category evolution.
  • Connect portfolio roles and growth platforms to innovation pipelines and execution roadmaps.
  • Identify business development opportunities (expansion, cross-brand/platform plays).
  • Serve as Mkt SPOC for Commercial Team: works together with Dairy Commercial Director to find relevant growth opportunities across channels/retailers for our brands based on our portfolio and demand space priorities.
  • Animate the Dairy Marketing Community & Council: best practices sharing & cross fertilization mindset Bring the ‘outside in’ on innovation and beyond. This is yet to be designed and launched.

About you

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered:

  • Strong FMCG background in portfolio/category strategy, brand strategy and/or business development. Multi-market exposure & broad cross‑functional experience Marketing/Strategy/Insights is a plus.
  • Proven ability to translate consumer/market understanding into strategic choices and portfolio roadmaps.
  • Analytical; simplifies complexity into practical tools and compelling narratives.
  • Strategic Thinking & Creative Problem-solver with strong communication skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management & ability to manage complex networks 
  • Proficient Project Management 
  • Proficient in English (French and Spanish nice to have)
