Finance Analyst, HQ Sales Finance & Planning

About the job

Our HQ Sales Finance team works with teams across the company to ensure Danone achieves its growth and profitability goals. By joining our Finance team, you will act as a liaison between our HQ team and Sales Finance divisions, BU finance teams, and trade accounting organization through the rolling forecast process and monthly close. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Finance Analyst to join our HQ Sales Finance & Planning team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in finance, a strong desire to learn, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, as you will be working with multiple stakeholders and engaging in frequent public speaking opportunities. Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to navigate grey areas are essential.

This position can be based in Louisville, CO or White Plains, NY.

 

In this role, you will report to the Manager of Sales Finance & Planning team and be responsible for:

  • Manage Vol/Mix/Price analysis weekly, during forecast process and monthly close. Variance analysis vs. prior rolling forecast and prior year.
  • Lead monitoring of total trade expenditure with sales divisions to ensure promotion planning accuracy.
  • Act as an internal expert through Rolling Forecast (RF) and monthly close processes, providing guidance and support to Divisional Sales Finance teams.
  • Manage relationships and communications with BU finance teams, providing Gross to Net P&L analysis including R&Os.
  • Manage relationships with Demand Planning teams during forecast process. Facilitate conversations and bridge gaps between Sales Divisions and Demand Planning.
  • Serve as key point of contact for HQ Sales Finance requests. Prepare monthly presentations for BU teams.
  • Develop Power BI reports and automate existing models to enhance reporting efficiency
  • Systems utilized include Kantar, Tagetik, SAP, Power BI


The base compensation range for this position is $74k-84k commensurate with experience. About you

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or closely related field is required.
  • You have a minimum of 1 year of experience in financial analysis.
  • You have experience working within a CPG environment is strongly preferred.
  • You have MS Excel proficiency and strong MS PowerPoint skills.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You have excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • You have the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • You possess eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and the ability to navigate grey areas.
  • You have the ability to recognize opportunities to simplify processes and create efficiencies.
