We currently have opportunities for a Project Engineer to join our team.

 

As a Project Engineer you are responsible for the management of technical projects from the concept phase through to commissioning and closure. You coordinate all project stakeholders, ensuring project execution on time and within budget, with full compliance to all quality, safety, and operational requirements.

About you

We are seeking a highly organized individual with proven experience in the Food Industry. This role is perfect for a creative team player who isn't afraid to use their skills to find optimal solutions. Your structured approach ensures project objectives are met, and your empathetic personality makes you the key link in managing stakeholders and driving projects forward.

 

Additionally, you will be able to work using your own initiative, prioritise and think ahead, possess strong communication skills, and solve technical and complex problems effectively.

 

The following qualifications/skills are required:

 

  • A degree or equivalent in Engineering, Food Technology or a related field
  • Proven experience within a technical function in food manufacturing (i.e. Engineering, Maintenance, Projects, Production or Civil Engineering)
  • Experience in (Technical) Project Management, Manufacturing, leading project teams in a challenging and changing environment
  • Technical knowledge of (Aseptic) Liquid Processing lines, Packaging lines and/or utilities
  • CAD experience would be a benefit
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology would be a benefit

 

Critical experience required:

 

  • Project Management: Proficiency in project management methodologies (SHERPA) and digital PM tools (MS Project, Asana)
  • Problem-solving: Excellent problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and optimise processes
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information and project updates
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of the project

You will participate in the Factory Strategic Planning programme, translating project needs into clear requirements and developing technical proposals with a cross-functional team. You will lead internal project teams, collaborate with Procurement on supplier proposals, and manage capital authorisation requests. Your role includes planning and executing projects within an active factory, coordinating suppliers and teams to ensure timely delivery. You will manage risks, control project costs, and ensure compliance with Danone Standards. Additionally, you will implement safety policies, train staff on new projects, and support other departments with technical expertise and problem-solving.
