About the job
Danone Nordics & Baltics is looking for a proactive Public Affairs & Communications Specialist to join our Corporate Affairs team on a temporary contract. In this role, you will support the execution of our public affairs and external communication agenda across the Nordic and Baltic region. You will help strengthen Danone’s corporate brand and bring our purpose-driven commitments to life externally.
This is a temporary position based in Stockholm, Solna, running from May 2026 to April 2027.
You will report to the General Secretary for Nordics & Baltics, and collaborate closely with the Corporate Affairs Director for Ireland, our European Public Affairs team, and external partners.
In this position, you will support the team in delivering Danone’s Corporate Affairs strategy, with tasks spanning both public affairs and external communications.
Public Affairs
In this area, you will:
- Monitor policy developments across the Nordic & Baltic region related to Danone’s business priorities (e.g., dietary guidelines, health taxes, nutrition topics relevant for Specialized Nutrition).
- Conduct basic policy analysis and prepare summaries, insights, or stakeholder overviews to support internal decision-making.
- Assist in implementing advocacy plans and stakeholder engagement activities for 2026.
- Coordinate with Danone’s European public affairs team to ensure consistent messaging.
Corporate Communications
You will support external communication activities such as:
- Contributing to the execution of corporate communication plans, including PR activities.
- Drafting initial versions of press materials, external statements, Q&As, and message houses.
- Coordinating with PR agencies and Danone’s internal global communications network on day-to-day needs.
- Supporting media inquiry handling and reactive communication (with senior team guidance).
- Contributing to crisis-preparedness messaging materials.
About you
What we are looking for
To thrive in this role, you:
- Have a proactive, structured, and solution-oriented way of working.
- Enjoy taking responsibility for your tasks and feel comfortable prioritizing.
- Communicate clearly and confidently in both writing and speech.
- Are fluent in Swedish and English.
- Bring experience (1–3 years) within public affairs, governmental relations, external communications, PR, or a related field.
- Feel comfortable working in an international environment.
Experience from the food industry, FMCG, or pharmaceuticals is an advantage but not a requirement.
