Specialized Nutrition  Food Safety Innovation Manager

Specialized Nutrition is a highly sensitive, complex and strongly regulated business. This position supports our Global Specialized Nutrition organizations by ensuring early food safety risk anticipation and management in new growth explorations, innovations and new product development to enable business growth.

Your main mission will be:

• Define and deploy early FS risk anticipation & management strategy for innovation projects
• Ensure strong partnership with QFS in Design, FS@D Scientific leaders and Research & Innovation teams.
• Drive the implementation of corporate FS requirements into SN’s operational business reality

More specific you’ll work on:

• Define and deploy the FS risk management strategy for innovation projects, enabling early risk anticipation in new product development and business growth through innovation.
• Conduct end-to-end FS risk analysis across varied project scopes that can include novel processes/ingredients and registrations, clinical studies, new suppliers etc
• Ensure strong partnership and cross category collaboration with QFS in Design, FS@D Scientific leaders and Research & Innovation teams.
• Contribute to the Danone QMS based on Directives and Policy and to translate all the requirements into the necessary set of instructions, audit grids, tools and references to operationally ensure Product Safety in Design & in Production, with No Compromise on Food Safety.
• Ensure that relevant FS standards for the innovation process are in place and are effective
• Develop and contribute Food Safety training, including identification and prioritization of new training needs within scope of role.
• Leverage FS in Design experience and best practices across Danone categories.

We are looking for a team player who can easily connect with cross functional departments and strong in stakeholder management.

You have +10 years of experience in complex, cross-functional, multinational enviropment working in food safety and innovations.

You are a strong communicator, able to connect and influence at all levels and can easily build effective working relationships. For this role it is important to have a proactive attitude, prioritization skills with a strong eye for detail. 

You’ll fit perfectly if you have:

• Bachelor,Master degree (food science, food quality) and related fields.
• You have recognized expertise in the area of Food Safety within food industry that will provide DANONE with credibility.
• Knowledge of the key technologies used in food processing (e.g. spray drying, dry blending, pasteurization, sterilization, aseptic filling, drum drying) and their related FS risks and mitigations.
• Excellent knowledge of the FS risk and hazards and their (potential) health impacts for the SN consumers and the impact of the key technologies.
• Good understanding of FS and Quality management systems.
• Good level of knowledge in food science and food regulation.
• Business acumen and value creation.           
• Strong skills in stakeholder management and cross functional working.
• Advanced problem-solving techniques.
