I am Pedro Thielmann

Operations Department Manager

My journey at Danone has been a continuous learning process, filled with diverse roles and global experiences over the years. The most motivating aspect has been the opportunities to develop and grow in my areas of interest.

MY JOURNEY SO FAR

Joined Danone in June 2017
  • Utilities Manager, Brazil
  • Maintenance Manager, Brazil
  • Technical Site Manager, Brazil
  • Maintenance Manager, Auckland
  • Operations Department Manager, Auckland

MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT

Leading the Triple Zero project at Danone Pocos, the first Danone plant to achieve zero carbon, zero waste, and zero water, was a highlight. This project won Brazil’s best Sustainability project in 2022.

CAREER GROWTH THROUGH GLOBAL TRAINING

Collaborating with the global Manufacturing and Engineering networks has exposed me to exchanging best practices and advancing my international career. Additionally, training as an IWS Coach in Europe was a key career milestone that was instrumental for me to implement IWS processes in our Auckland Supply Point.

LIVE AND BREATHE OUR BEHAVIOURS AND VALUES

I take pride in being part of an organisation that shares the same VALUES (Humanism, Openness, Proximity & Enthusiasm) and BEHAVIOURS that I, as a person, a father, and a citizen, put into practice daily in my life outside work.

TROUBLESHOOTING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING IN OPERATIONS

I enjoy solving problems, with machines, processes, people, and with equipment. The factory routine offers me problems every day that need to be prioritised and solved. At the end of the year, it is great to look back and see how many issues we eliminated from our production lines and how it impacted positively on our results.
