Within the Global Public Affairs team, the Advocacy Platforms Manager leads the development and dissemination of policies, positions, and advocacy strategies across key topics. This role ensures internal alignment through clear governance, streamlined processes, and effective cross-functional collaboration. It also plays a critical role in informing external engagement and positioning.

 

This CDI will take place in Paris, in our head office, as soon as possible.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Policies and positions development: develop global level policies and positions on a broad set of topics (e.g., health, nutrition, sustainability, food systems, innovation, responsible marketing, etc.), ensuring consistency in tone and messaging across zones, functions, and categories.
  • Strategic tools development: create toolkits, trainings materials, and frameworks tailored to diverse audiences and local context needs to foster internal alignment across business, countries and functions, and to support external engagement.
  • Cross-functional project management: animate internal governance, processes, and ways of working to deliver impactful positions and advocacy plans on strategic priorities.
  • Internal collaboration: establish clear coordination and frameworks between Public Affairs and other internal functions (Communications, Research & Innovation, Quality & Food Safety, Legal, etc.) to embed advocacy where relevant.
  • Knowledge management: manage internal platforms, tools and processes to store policies and positions, coordinating the update of Danone’s internal and external document libraries to ensure accessibility and transparency.

About you

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: University degree in Political Science, Sustainability, Nutrition or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in sustainability policy, corporate affairs or communications. An industry background in FMCG or agri-food is a plus.
  • Languages: Full professional proficiency in English; proficiency in French would be considered as an asset.

  • Strong analytical skills: ability to organize and synthesize complex information.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all advocacy materials and project management.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
