This is a replacement role and will manage international assignments and relocations across Asia‑Pacific, with a primary focus on Southeast Asia. This experienced individual contributor is responsible for delivering an excellent expatriate employee experience, ensuring compliance with immigration, tax, and labor regulations, and supporting business needs. The specialist will serve as the main liaison between employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders for all IM operational matters.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate IM activities for international assignments and relocations—particularly long-term and short-term assignments—inbound to, outbound from and within Southeast Asia primarily and Asia-Pacific to a lesser extent
  • Ensure adherence to IM policies, and home and host country immigration, tax and labor laws and regulations
  • Manage and advise on immigration processes (e.g. work/dependent visa/permit), and tax, social security and pension obligations for expatriates and their families
  • Manage and provide guidance on housing, schooling, destination adaptation and moving for expatriates and their families
  • Liaise with relocation vendors, immigration and tax consultants, other IM service providers, and the authorities as needed
  • Collaborate with payroll, HRBP and other HR/non-HR functions as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assignments and costs
  • Prepare reports based on IM data and trends for management review
  • Manage billing, cost transfer and other administrative processes for IM activities
  • Contribute to process improvements, and a robust operating model and ways of working within and beyond IM operations
  • Support IM-related and other assigned projects/initiatives

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, law, accounting, business or related field
  • 3 or more years experience in international mobility management for multiple countries within Southeast Asia
  • Demonstrable expertise in expatriate immigration and/or tax matters for Southeast Asian jurisdictions
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment
