Danone Canada is looking for Regional Business Development Manager.

 

As part of this position, you will be accountable for drive sustainable growth across regional grocery accounts by leveraging data-driven insights, optimizing trade investments, and executing integrated omnichannel strategies that increase distribution, accelerate category performance, and strengthen customer partnerships. 

 

More specifically: 

  • Manage day to day tasks and initiatives involving specific accounts to ensure effective and efficient execution of Danone’s business objectives while building effective relationships.
  • Leverage all available internal resources to maintain accurate forecasting of volume and trade investment. Ensure deductions are maintained and submitted in line with expectations and set deadlines.
  • Lead best-in-class, insight-driven business reviews by translating Dunnhumby, POS, and shopper data into clear growth opportunities, actionable recommendations, and retailer-specific strategies that influence distribution, pricing, and promotional decisions.
  • Drive omnichannel growth by optimizing digital shelf fundamentals (content, search, media), improving online assortment quality, and partnering with retailer teams to increase conversion, basket size, and share of online sales.
  • Effectively communicate account priorities and engage the cross functional teams (sales strategy, demand planning, finance, and supply chain) to drive business results. 
  • Lead strategic customer reviews, presenting innovation, pricing, and category growth opportunities supported by data-driven selling stories to influence key retail decision-makers and unlock incremental growth.
  • Collaborate with the Category Management team to analyze category trends, promotional activity and product assortment to develop selling stories to maximize sales and profits. 
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure product availability for your set of accounts.
  • Provide accurate insights & visibility to the Customer Business Team (CBT) leadership on most recent category trends, issues, risks & opportunities as they relate to your accounts.
  • Timely and accurate updates/submissions of all pertinent internal and external requests & documents through the use of company processes and tools.
  • Act as a key analytical partner to the assigned CBT by delivering actionable insights and tools (Dunnhumby, NielsenIQ and other scorecards, planogram analysis, promo effectiveness, omni-channel and loyalty post analysis, assortment diagnostics) that inform strategic decisions and drive category and customer performance.  

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $110,000 CAD. The final salary offered will be determined by factors such as relevant experience and qualifications, internal equity and external market conditions.

About you

  •  Business degree in administration or equivalent 

  • 3 to 5 years as Business Development Manager / Key Account Manager, preferably in Consumer Packaged Goods. 

  • Strong Selling Skills & Experience with Category Management 

  • Dynamic and hands-on approach to problems and challenge with a solution driven mindset. 

  • Strong negotiation skills & ability to manage business decisions with regards of Customer Growth agreements 

  • Presentation effectiveness – ability to define business opportunities, gather appropriate data to support , organize information, write presentation and deliver to effectively influence key decision maker. 

  • Planning and Organizational skills – strong ability to lead a multiplicity of projects, prioritize activities, handle business pressure on tight deadlines in a dynamic and ever-changing environment while maintaining high level of performance and professionalism. 

  • Financial Acumen – understand key financial parameters, evaluate risks and make appropriate investment decisions. 

  • Information and Communication Management – ability to use current procedures and appropriate technology to manage information and communicate internally and externally. 

  • Strong Agility in Excel & PowerPoint 

  • French & English are mandatory (spoken and written). Bilingualism is required for this position, as it involves frequent communication with our business units, plants, and business partners located outside Québec
