If our machines aren’t running properly it has a massive impact on our production. My team and I work together to keep everything running smoothly. The important thing is prevention; we take a preventative approach with maintenance, it’s very extensive. We have a worldwide SAP system and a regular maintenance plan. I make an impact by making sure we follow the plan to keep production on track.
I’ve been with Danone for 20 years. The company is very involved with its people. We have a great benefits and remuneration package, and I feel supported and appreciated.
My job is based on the factory floor, but recently I was asked to take the lead on setting up a new warehouse for our spare parts and components. It’s important that we have the right parts, and it was a challenging and fun project that gave me some new skills as well as benefitting my day-to-day job role.
I try and grow every day. I listen to my team’s feedback and we try to improve the way we do things. Teamwork is important to me; we all learn from each other. Everyone in the world knows Danone too, and that makes it a lot of fun. No two days are the same, and I’m always learning because of that.
