• Ensure the development of new & improved products meets the agreed brief (value creation, improved COGS, regulation, and Danone Standards) and meet agreed timeline. Scope includes NPD projects and secure supply, productivity projects.
• Manages the preparation of prototype samples both from Lab Scale and Pilot plant Scale
• Manages Plant Validation (Factory Trial Run) both NPDs & improvement existing product
• Manages Sensory Evaluation for in-house and assist in consumer testing.
• Lead and accountable for designing appropriate shelf life protocol for projects under his/her leadership. Ensure timely execution of shelf life evaluations and flag out any quality issues observed during shelf life study. Able to work with cross functional team or collaborate with Global R&I team to seek support in trouble shooting quality issues observed during shelf life study
• Co-ordinates the first commercial batches of new products.
• Manages the preparation of dossiers & supporting materials for FDA registration.
• Identifies and prioritizes key product development steps and identifies resources for the completion of projects to meet short- and long-term business objectives.
• Works closely with ‘Cycle & Procurement’ team and suppliers to identify ingredient solutions to enhance consumer experience and operational cost efficiency, as source of innovation.
• Works closely with multi-functional team based in SEA countries and Supply Point (worldwide) in ensuring that the local consumer insights, nutritional, product quality & regulation requirements, and launch timeline & budget are aligned and reflected into Product brief.
• Works closely with suppliers from the early stage of development to drive innovative technical solutions (co design)
•. Applies product technical information from a wide variety of sources to solve problems and provide solutions.
• Identifies and implement ingredient / formulation to support commercialization and cost saving.
• Develops technical skills and leadership capabilities of product development team.
• Supports Quality System ISO 9001, HACCP and ISO 14001.
• Ensures the Product Specifications are prepared with the collaboration with Operations, Third Party Manufacturers, and Danone Standard.
• Keep up to date with the R&I trends, competition, and technical development to create products that are competitive and cost effective.
• Support ad hoc request from Factory or Commercial (Via QFS) related to quality issues that required R&I expertise (i.e. rework calculations, consumer complaints etc.).

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in food science, food engineering, chemistry or other related sciences.
• At least 5 years in Product Development of Food products and / or Nutritional products 
• Prioritization & Project management.
• Ability to taste products & not allergic to milk.
• Ability to learn to equip lab instruments for mixing / packing.
• Able to communicate both English and Thai.
