Under the responsibility of the Quality and Food Safety Senior Vice President (SVP), the Standards & Risk Management (SRM) function has the mission to:  

Leverage scientific, regulatory & technical expertise to drive Quality & Food Safety (QFS) governance and compliance, delivering our promise to consumers and customers. ​We achieve this through risk identification, assessment and end to end management, underpinned by a global QMS. ​​#DETECT # DEFEND #DRIVE 

Within the SRM department we are looking for a senior director on Global Quality & Food Safety Compliance and risk anticipation.

Key responsibilities of this role are:

• Develop, refine and continuously improve a Quality Food Safety (QFS) Global Product Compliance and risk anticipation strategy for the company.  
• Lead the Global product compliance & risk anticipation process and programs, driving measurable decrease in financial & reputational risks and improved Quality Food Safety results for Danone.  
• Successfully drive the product compliance review Board including end-to-end risk anticipation and management flows. 
• Serve as an enterprise-wide senior technical expert on at least one core QFS/regulatory topic. 
• Support the crisis management process for Country Business Units, as well as globally. 
• Own and drive the end to end Quality Management System and DMS across Danone for entire portfolio of official policies, standards and requirements.            
• Own the delivery of the Danone annual ‘Management Review’ to drive risk awareness and prevention strategies globally.                                                                                                                                 
• Drive product compliance standards, concession and derogations management, leading discussions up to Company Board level including Product Non-Conformances, and associated CI processes 
• Establish underlying forums for assuring governance, oversite, transparency and due diligence in the scope of QFS risks across the enterprise.  
• Serve as a respected and reputable QFS leader in and outside of Danone on relevant QFS and compliance Forums as a deputy of the VP of SRM team. 
• Assure successful implementation and sustained / progressive adoption of our Global Platform Veeva for all QFS related topics from a business process expertise perspective, meeting all associated usage KPIs.  
• Fostering a culture of transparency and continuous improvement and learning within the organization. 
• Supporting Data Analysis and Integration – with the digital team, support & advise on reporting from various sources, identification of trends, prediction of issues, and enhancement of processes accordingly. 

To serve as a senior leader driving risk anticipation and proactive product compliance you will bring: 

• An advanced degree in a technical discipline related to quality, food safety, regulatory or research in a scientific discipline.     
• Fifteen to twenty years progressive experience with senior leadership roles in food, pharmaceutical, or consumer goods industry.  
• A proven record of visionary leadership and compliance / program building in complex, global ecosystems.  
• High level of proficiency and engagement in regulatory, compliance, and food safety topics in industry-wide and across governmental/ inter-governmental agencies.  
• Experience developing, implementing and sustaining enterprise-wide metrics, KPI’s and reporting tools and cycles to track and drive organizational improvement in compliance.  
• Has practical and operational experience in a sensitive product category (e.g. medical devices, nutritional, FSMP, dietary products, FDA regulated areas). 
• Has developed and implemented oversight and governance systems / programs at scale as evidenced in externally published corporate reporting. 
• Has led significant crisis management topics inclusive of post-mortem reviews and ‘lessons learned’.  
• International experience. 
• Ability to work in and thrive in a complex, multi layered relationship led business.
