In this internship, you will be part of the “Right by Design” team, within our Global Specialized Nutrition (SN) Research & Innovation (R&I) sector. Our purpose is to collect and analyze data of the process, shelf life and raw materials monitoring plans. During this internship, you will collaborate with quality assurance teams, factory teams, Research and Innovation teams, and external labs. You will support with determining process shelf-life loss in our supply points.

 

Your main responsibilities include:

 

  • Collecting samples from various supply points and sending them for sample analysis
  • Analyzing data from sample analysis to determine process, shelf life, and raw material variance; and based on the data, making suggestions for accurate recipe development settings.
  • Documenting findings and presenting them to relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborating with team members to implement recipe design improvements

About you

  • You are a Bachelor/Master student currently pursuing a degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field
  • You have strong analytical skills and have an eye for detail
  • You are proficient in data analysis tools such as excel
  • Strong statistical knowledge
  • You can work independently and as a part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills

As a process shelf-life, raw material analysis intern, data analysis is second nature to you. You are not afraid to communicate with various stakeholders and are highly organized. On top of that? You’re an analytical person with a strong interest in food sciences who’s always looking for opportunities to learn and develop.

 

There are also some compulsory requirements:

  • Enrolled as a Bachelors/Masters student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
  • Ideally available to start in February/March 2025 for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days per week;
  • You are fluent in English - spoken and written; Dutch is considered as a plus;
  • You are able to work from our Utrecht office, at least 3 days per week;
  • Please note that you are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) for this internship and get a BSN.

We offer a gross monthly internship allowance 650 euros per month and a home working allowance/contribution towards travel. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.
