I am apart of the training committee at the plant. This committee is giving me the opportunity to teach what I know about my passion; the milk. I have a dairy farm so it is very nice to combine the knowledge i receive from the plant and from the farm to deliver great learnings to my colleagues.
Health and safety is the number 1 priority at Danone Canada. I am now applying all the learnings I received at home because ultimately, Danone is also contributing to my safety while I am out of the plant.
I had the opportunity to work on different projects and I am trained to do many roles within the plant. This allows me to have different tasks on a day to day basis and to develop myself. I had the chance to work on a 2-years project to introduce plant-based yogurt into our dairy plant. This was what challenging but so rewarding.
I didn’t get a high school diploma. I got my GED when I was 18, and then I proved myself by working hard. I’ve moved up four times now in seven years. What I like about Danone is that there’s always room to move up. There’s always a voice to be heard, something to innovate or improve on.
